How to style Fall fashion for the Arizona heat

I don't know about you, but I am SO excited for Fall. I even decorated for Fall mid-August in hopes that it would make Arizona feel like Fall earlier. Being from the Midwest, I'm used to a Fall that brings colorful leaves, hayrides, and cozy warm clothes. The reality is, that temperatures will remain in the 100s, 90s, and 80s for most of Fall. The good news is that you can still enjoy Fall and its cute and cozy clothing trends even with the heat. Here are some ways to style Fall fashion for the Arizona heat!

Shorts

Shorts can still be a staple item in Fall if they're styled the right way and paired with options that complement Fall trends. Try pairing a pair of shorts with a belt of your choice. Belts are great ways to personalize your outfit based on your style and mood, no matter what season! This is a great opportunity to wear those sweaters that have been sitting in your closet. Since shorts are cooler, sweaters can be comfortably worn with them.

Boots

Boots are my favorite Fall clothing trend of all. Boots are great because there are many different styles that can be worn in warmer weather and cooler weather because they look cute with both shorts and jeans! For an everyday staple, I prefer black combat boots.

Sandals

Normally sandals wouldn't be considered a Fall trend, but if you live in Arizona, you have a good excuse. Platform sandals or any sandals, in general, look great with pants and a jacket or cardigan of some sort. Sandals can easily be considered fall fashion items when paired with other items that make them look warmer and cozier for Fall. Pants and jackets can be seen as great examples. Fall colors can be incorporated into the rest of the outfit, whether it be an orange top or an army green cargo jacket as shown below.

Jackets & Cardigans

It's all about the layers. Layers are a great way to transition from Summer styles to Fall. In Arizona, it's smart to start with a basic layer such as a t-shirt or tank top and layer with a jacket or cardigans as needed. To give your basics more of a "Fall" look, wear autumnal colors like oranges, maroons, browns, and beiges.
